Coffee break with Lena Farl
I met Léna a while ago, mid-July, at rue Montorgueil, one of my favorite in Paris! I was looking for a model with a strong and confident personality. Emily ( @milocolor ) was the one who introduced us. We all met at a cute bistro for a spritz late in the afternoon. The almost 40-degree temperature required a VERY refreshing beverage. Our conversation was endless: we brainstormed about a location for the new campaign, looks, and attitude. Art directing is a meticulous task!
When it was time to go home, I still had so many questions for Lèna. To me, she is one of those people that intrigued me, always smiling and with so many funny stories to tell! I was so curious to know more about her background and fashion stories!
After our ‘C’est la vie’ campaign, I was (as always) still curious to know more and also to have her feedback on our collaboration. We were not able to meet up again in person as the second lockdown in France was approaching. What we were able to do was email each other, and she so kindly answered me! Here is our virtual chat! Enjoy!
Hi Léna! Can you please introduce yourself?
I am Parisian, and I am 25 years old. I work in communication and events and I am also a content creator. On my Instagram account, I share my fashion, beauty, and lifestyle favorites, all with my point of view of what is the Parisian style.
And what about your passions?
I am passionate about fashion and everything to do with art and creativity! During confinement, I discovered sewing, which has become my new passion!
How would you describe Sussan Shokranian?I reeeally like the fresh and feminine style of the brand. It’s a style that suits me perfectly, and that’s why a collaboration seemed like a perfect match!
How did this collaboration go?
Marvelously well! I really enjoyed working with you and Emily ! Emily is such a talented photographer and I loved working with them. It was a great atmosphere and it’s always a pleasure to be able to interact and collaborate with such creative people.
What is your favorite piece from the new collection?
I am a total fan of the Vichy Claudia pants! I love its retro feel. I also really like the feminine Dolorès dress with its fluid cut! Not to mention the mignonette bag which is so cute !!!
What do you think about the fact that Sussan Shokranian only uses surplus fabrics?
It’s a fantastic idea! I appreciate this sustainable approach to the brand. This is a good way to show that things are starting to change on this topic in the fashion world.
Do you consider yourself an advocate for sustainability?
Of course, and like many people, I have changed many of my little daily habits. So I pay much more attention to what I buy and consume. For example, when it comes to fashion, I am turning more and more to vintage or second hand.
What’s your final thought to give this beautiful collaboration closure?
I would like to say a big thank you for choosing me to embody this collection. It was a very interesting and enriching experience. I wish you all success!
